Spiritual Mission – Part B (2019)

Awakening Your Everyday Wisdom Spiritual Mission – Part B If you’re not already on your
Spiritual Mission, no worries. If you are meant to be
on a Spiritual Mission, you’re going to have a lot
of nudges coming to you in the form of intuition,
hunches, restlessness. So don’t worry, your Spiritual
Mission will let you know, “hey, time to get going here.” If you are on your Spiritual Mission, you might find yourself examining
a lot of different topics that pertain to your mission. Or you might have a really
wide reaching net, so to say. You might look at ESP and angels
and near-death experiences, and all different kinds of topics. You might really be studying scripture. A lot of us look to scripture to help guide our Spiritual Missions. You might even be interested
in ancient civilizations. Maybe, maybe not. The idea here is Your
Everyday Wisdom will guide you to examine topics that
you need to know about in order to fulfill your mission. So here are some ways to help you uncover or discover your mission. These are introspective kind of ways. I’m going to ask questions. These are on my website
in the form of a handout, so if you want to go back
and journal on these. And if you want to have a copy,
you can always print it off. So here’s #1: If you
could change one thing about the world, what would you change? #2 – If you could change one
thing about human nature, what would you change? And #3, if there was one thing you could do to heal other people, what
would that one thing be? And #4, what messages do you
feel you are here to share with others, to deliver? And #5, if you had all the money
and time that you need, what would be your most important
contribution to humanity? And why did you choose that? Motivation is a very
important thing to look at when we’re doing this introspection work. #6 – If you were in charge of world finances, what changes would you make in that arena? So, those are just some ideas to kind of help spark
your Spiritual Mission, if you’re not already clear about it. So for an example, my Spiritual
Mission is to contribute to the conscious evolution
or development of humankind. This came to me in 2001, I was actually doing a workshop and one of our exercises was to write out what is our personal mission in life. And I came up with that, it actually took me by surprise. I’m like, “what? No way. That’s not me.” And then, here I am trying to
make an effort to contribute. So I think I’m following my path. How do you fulfill your mission? Well, just like that, you listen
to that internal guidance. And if you can’t hear it, I’ve
got a few suggestions on ways that you can access Your
Own Everyday Wisdom. So we’ll start with a
historical perspective. Now this goes along the
lines of introspection. You might want to jot these down
off my website to journal on. So these are practices: Make a list of everything
you’ve been interested in, that you’ve pursued
intellectually, physically, or otherwise. Make a
list of your successes, large and small. Now, some people think
they ought to make a list of their failures as well. Nah, don’t bother with that. Failures are done, they’re past. The successes are the ones
that inspire you to move on, to go deeper. Make a list of people who
have influenced you, and why? Make a list of people who you admire, people you wish you were more like that. That’s along the lines of influence. And how did those people influence you? Was it through the written word? Was it by their actions? Was it their kindness? And then make a list
of the acts of kindness that you practice. So it could be things
like leaving a nice tip for people who serve you. Or acknowledging an elderly
person, saying, “hi, how are you?” Whatever. There are lots of
ways to demonstrate kindness. So how do you listen to
Your Everyday Wisdom, your internal guidance? Here are some suggestions: Don’t expect your inner
guidance to be real loud, especially if you’re just
starting to broach this topic. Because we are beings of free will. There’s nothing being imposed on us. We’re just being nudged along
the lines of a Spiritual Path or a Spiritual Mission. So our intuition is very helpful. Sometimes it’s just a
little hint that we get. Maybe somebody said
something and we go, “hmm, I just noticed that.” Pay attention to what you’re noticing. That’s a very good way to
access Your Own Wisdom. Make a connection with
your subconscious mind. In one of my videos I shared
my personal connection with my subconscious mind.
And her name is Precious. I’ve given her a persona.
And it just helps me relate. Sometimes I’ll say,
“Precious, what should I do?” And you know, before long I
get an idea, an inspiration. Ask that the path be illuminated for you. You know, it takes a lot of
time to follow little clues. So ask for nice big clues
and you’ll be given them. And follow your inklings. Even if other people criticize
you, don’t listen to them. Your inklings are for you, not them. Pray and meditate, often. This will help you stay in touch with your internal guidance system. And write out your legacy. What do you want people to say
about you after you’re gone? What do you want on your tombstone? How do you want people
to view the contributions that you made while you were here? That’s a really good way
of getting in touch with what are you supposed
to do while you’re here? All right, now, here are
seven tips on how to hear that Everyday Wisdom. These are practices, so #1
is find a time and a place to sit quietly. You know, just sitting
on the edge of the bed for two minutes before you lie down, that may not give your
inner wisdom an opportunity to speak to you. We have to be receptive, refrain from ingesting
stimulants and depressants. Now, if you have an addiction problem, that is the number one priority. Because addictions can keep
you away from Your Internal, Everyday Wisdom. Because
the addiction is wanting to rule your life. That’s the purpose of addictions. Oftentimes, is to help us
escape trauma and drama from the past. But it doesn’t
do you any good, really. So if you do want to find
your Spiritual Mission, you gotta get rid of the stuff that keeps you stuck and blocked. Journal, I’ve given you a few
suggestions on ideas, topics to journal on. It’s a very good practice.
It helps you hear yourself. And handle your life in such a way that you’re not constantly worried. If you have a mess in
your financial situation, if your house is in disarray, if your kids are running
around undisciplined, and I don’t mean, like
discipline, like punishment, but without guidance, they
can cause a lot of trouble ’cause kids really do need guidance. So get your life handled, and by the way, that could take years. Especially for those of us who grew up in dysfunctional homes. We don’t even know how
to get our life organized when we get out in the big world. We have a lot to learn. So don’t judge yourself, don’t put yourself on some sort of a, “ooh, I have to be perfect” kind of mode. You don’t have to be perfect, by any means. And don’t over guess how
guidance will come to you. Like I said a little earlier, it could just be something you overheard as you were standing in the checkout line at the grocery store. So don’t discount it if
it doesn’t come to you in your journal or in
some glorious realization. Just be on the lookout. Guidance can come to you
from all different ways. Now, here’s one that came
from a book from the 50s. It was called “Think and
Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. One of his suggestions was
to form an imaginary council. I have one. Yeah, it’s pretty cool. My mom, who’s deceased, is on my council. Along with very strong spiritual leaders. And my guardian angels
are on my council as well. So you get to choose your own council. If you want to find out how to do that you could look up Napoleon’s book. I don’t know if it’s still in print. But check with me if you can’t find it. I might be able to help you. And then this one is the number
one: sit regularly, be quiet. It helps to have the same
basic time like early morning, late evening. And it also
helps to have the same place where you are very intentionally
sitting with the purpose of receiving guidance
from Your Everyday Wisdom. Once you get that established,
you’ll be very impressed with how Your Wisdom can
reach you and speak to you. So those are my seven tips. Now it can be a big
struggle to adjust your life in order to follow your Spiritual Mission. Sometimes our friends and our
family members don’t want you to change because they’re
used to you the way you are. They’ve figured out how
to push your buttons, they’ve figured out how to please you. They don’t want you changing, trust me. And if you’re in a
difficult, abusive, painful, harmful relationships, you
really have to survive. You’ve got to take care of yourself, if you’re going to fulfill your mission. If you let other people
hurt you and ruin you, you can’t do what you’re here to do. And it could be very painful
to end abusive relationships. Very painful. Could take a long time. Now, I recommend that you do it with as much love as
possible, love for yourself, and love for the other people.
Because we’re all victims, whenever it comes to an abusive situation. The perpetrators are just as much a victim as the ones being hurt. There’s a lot of help in
dealing with these situations. So seek out help. I had to go through this. It was rough. I had two little babies at the time. Whew, it was a very, very tough situation. And it left scars on my kids. I’m sad about that even to this day. But had I not made those choices, I probably wouldn’t
even be here right now. But I certainly wouldn’t
be here in good form. So I have a few affirmations
for you and a few messages and we’ll wrap it up. Affirmations: “I am present,
awake, alive, and alert.” “My heart is full of light and love and I give it away freely.” “I love myself, others,
Mother Earth, and life itself.” “I devote myself to my Creator.” Messages: these are inspired
by Pamela Eakins, Ph.D. She’s the author of a book
called the “Tarot of the Spirit”. And I’ve gotten a lot from Pamela, She’s been a great guide for me. So here we go: “Through self knowledge, potential is realized and mastered.” “There is an undercurrent of depression… as you pursue your spiritual mission. if there is, it’s only
because the future is unknown.” “The way will become clear.” “You will find something or
someone to connect with.” “You may find yourself
changing quite a bit.” “This is the brink of transformation.” And, “It’s time to rearrange
your life in such a way that your heart and spirit
are honored and rewarded.” Pay attention to those internal nudges. Thank you for listening. And I wish you well on
your journey, blessings. (gentle music) Thank you for listening and
