neurological pilates is a great form of low
impact exercise for people that have suffered from a brain or spinal cord injury. you may
have suffered a stroke or a traumatic injury or you may have been diagnosed with Parkinson
disease and MS, this can cause the muscles to be tight, weak and it may affect your balance.
pilates can help improve your coursed ability and your postural tone and help you with daily
activities. Paul has MS, he started pilates when his walking became affected and he struggled
picking up his shopping Paul came for a individual session to see what muscles were affecting
his walking ability, he learned to control his deep core muscles and was given home exercises
to work on. After 8 weeks treatment paul was already noticing great improvements, he could
walk for longer distances with a better gate pattern and could pick up his shopping without
any problems or pain . All our sessions are run by experienced neurological physiotherapists,
this means we can understand and tailor the exercises specifically for you
