Good morning, good afternoon, good evening everyone! My name is Kanika Jindal. I’m a life and leadership coach, and a yoga teacher. I am talking about my stress-buster mantras and today is day 7. Today I want you to do a small exercise. Take a piece of paper and a pen and make a list of a of things that you worry about, or that you feel stressed about. Now put these into two categories – things that you have no control over, and things that you have control over. Once done, go over both your lists once again. Look at the things that you have no control over. There’s absolutely no point worrying about those, because they are not in your control. It’s all just in your thought. Just like this quote by Mark Twain where he says “I‘m an old man, and I‘ve known many great troubles, but most of them never happened.” The more we worry and stress about people, situations, circumstances in our lives, the more real it starts looking to us. But the question for you to ask yourself is
– Is it really true? … Is it really true? … If you authentically ask yourself this question, most of the times you will get present to the thoughts that are creating that experience of worry and anxiety. And that will give you an opportunity to think new thoughts. Thoughts that are aligned to your purpose, to what’s important to you in life. Now look at your second list. Look at the things that you have control over. Well, it doesn’t make sense to worry about these as well, because you already know what needs to be done there. And if you gave yourself a break from all the thinking and worrying, you can actually get those things done a little faster. What do you think? I hope that my stress buster mantras have been helpful to you. I’ll see you in my next series of videos where we will discover other aspects. Till then, good bye. Take care.
