My name is Dr. Heidi Munger Clary, assistant
professor of Neurology at Wake Forest Baptist Health.
I was drawn to Wake Forest Baptist Health by the great group of physicians and other
professionals working here and the collaborative, wonderful working relationship that I saw
in the folks who are now my colleagues here. My patient care philosophy is working together
to craft the best treatment plan for the individual patient, thinking about all sorts of aspects
of that patient’s life including other medical problems, things such as mood, side effects-
to come up with the best treatment plan. As a patient, I really value the time that
my physicians have spent explaining things to me and this has really helped me understand
the importance of spending time with each individual patient to make sure that everything
we discuss is clear and all questions are answered.
What differentiates Wake Forest Baptist Health is the extremely collaborative environment
here and the way that all of the physicians in different specialties work together to
create the best patient experience. One of the most important things for patients
to know about Wake Forest Baptist Health is that not only do we have a great group of
caring doctors who work together, but we also have some of the most cutting-edge therapies
available here that are not available in most places in the country.
In my time away from the medical center, I love to run and do all sorts of outdoor activities
like hiking and mountain biking as well.
